Welcome to Loaves and Fishes, a social enterprise company based in Australia. We specialise in organizing and operating Mission, Service, and Cultural trips to Vanuatu for School, Church, and Family groups. As a proud member of SETO (Student Education Travel Organisation) and with our deep partnership with Scripture Union Vanuatu, we have established a strong foundation for our work.
At Loaves and Fishes, we are supported by a dedicated team with extensive local knowledge and experience. This ensures that your journey with us is not only safe but also meaningful. Our goal is to provide you with a transformative adventure in the Pacific, where you can make a positive impact while deepening your Christian faith.
Our History
Our founders, Sam Willie, Charlotte Gibson, Jen and Nick Price, have a rich history of organising school trips to Vanuatu in collaboration with Scripture Union and their local school. These trips have always focused on mission, immersion, and supporting the local Ni-Vanuatu population.
Through their extensive experience and the strong relationships they have cultivated in Vanuatu, Jen and Nick recognised the importance of creating a sustainable business model that would not only benefit the local Ni-Vanuatu people but also provide a steady income for them. This realisation led to the birth of the company, Loaves and Fishes Program, in 2023.
Our Team
What sets us apart at Loaves and Fishes is our compassionate and knowledgeable crew. Our well rounded Ni-Vanuatu team provide a unique insight into local customs and they aren’t afraid to push you out of your comfort zone, while still maintaining a secure and welcoming environment. Kept on a retainer wage throughout the year, they are paid a bonus for working on each camp. The team are all people of faith and have experience volunteering with Scripture Union Vanuatu and/or their local church.
We run our camps in partnership with Scripture Union Vanuatu. As well as supporting SU Vanuatu financially both through our camps directly and donations, throughout the year we also support SU Vanuatu by supplying staff to help with regular SU School visits, camp volunteers for local camps and administrative support. We are also supporting SU Volunteers and staff by paying them to work whenever we can and offering other experiences to SU Volunteers. It is our Mission to work closely with, and help SU Vanuatu in every way we can.
